This fire takes the mind back to the days when many shops smoked their own bacon.

Older readers may well remember this. Now bacon frequently comes wrapped in plastic wrappers although bacon slicer's are not unheard of.

Note that the timbers have had to be cut away. This, as in the case of the hearth fire, maybe a means of ensuring that repairs took care of the amended timber structures and made sure that they did not have the same risks as before.

The cause of the fire suggests that the flue was defective
