Fire in Tar Boiler

This call is unusual in that the whistle on the tar boiler alerted the brigade to the fire outside of Webb and Wilsons.

Little damage was done and a a Mr P Clarke was able to provide a fire extinguisher called a Minimax which put the fire out. It does not say whether he was a resident or householder.
