Fire at Netherton

There was a shortage of water so, while protecting the surrounding property they extinguished it in small quantities.

A tramp was arrested charged with arson and sent to the assizes, the outcome is not recorded.

The call was made by the steward Mr J B Wilson from Manor Farm

The rick was owned by George Baylis of Highfield, Newbury.
