The local authorities election took place on
November 2nd.1908. There were 5 candidates, Mr F. R. Noyce was among
them.
The first three were retiring Councillors, including Mr Noyce.
He had only a one vote margin over another retiring councillor and
so gained re-election. I wonder how many recount there were.
Mr Noyce was already a councillor so it is possible that he may
have retired from the brigade as he expected to be selected for
a council post.
He continued in his post of Sub Captain with the brigade until
a successor was elected.
