Instantaneous Couplings. These are, for them, the latest innovation. Until this date they will have had screw couplings.

With screw couplings, you needed to get the threads in line and spend time screwing the threads together.

A shall piece of grit could make the difference between minutes and seconds in getting water to the fire.
