Andover Urban Volunteer Fire Brigade circa 1894

The picture shows the manual pump and crew about 1894. They are pictured outside of the old station in East Street, Andover. although barely readable, the label over the doors is thought to be the Andover Sanitary Authority. There were horses available and these were stabled in an adjacent field probably belonging to the authority.

Sadly none of the crew are named, many names will appear in fire and drill records through out the log and I have recorded them.
I do not have an original roll call and so can only record names appearing in the log if you have any information that will enable me to identify individual members or even add names to it I will be happy to receive it for publication and if you agree credit you with the information.
