An early start for the crew at 0645 arrival at Bournemouth 0900hrs.

First round tied with Ferndown of the N. Eastern District for First Place at 40.35 seconds.

When they ran off the tie they beat Ferndown the times were Ferndown 80 seconds so no doubt they had problems. Andover however archived 37 seconds beating the first round result and thus won the NATIONAL HOSE CART SHIELD
and a Prize of FOUR POUNDS The Crew

The log entry proudly points out that this was the first time a trophy ,of this nature had been won by Andover.
On June 26th they again went to Bournemouth to fetch the trophy and prize and give an Exhibition Drill.
